Hi all,

Got a cheapy Sliding mitre saw yesterday and the supplied blade is pants.

I need a 305mm blade with a 30mm bore. Any suggestions/advice on best place to buy and what type to get.

Many thanks

Hi

I fitted an 80-tooth negative rake blade from Axminster to mine and it works great

Someone on this forum recommended summit saw blades on ebay.

According to SWMBO the blade arrived today in the post.

I'll try it out tonight and let you know how it goes.

negative rake is a must for a sliding saw. would depend what your cutting as to what blade u want. if its lots of man made boards then 80tpi would be fine, if your looking to also cut lots of timber i would go for a 40-60tpi blade. Just bear in mind that the more teeth you go for the finer the cut, but the more stress it will put on your saw and the more it will cost to sharpen, about 16p per tooth normally.

Thanks guys

Think i will go for 80tpi as I will mostly be using it on hardwoods . Doesnt seem to be may places selling them online though.

Thanks again
