As per the title really - where's best to get this?

And, i assume the activator isn't brand specific? I mean if i cant get them both at the same place, im guessing any CA activator works with any CA glue, right?

Thank you.

I had very poor luck with black CA glue it was either gummy or brittle and with an activator it went white/grey.

What is the job you need it for, there are alternative options.

Würth activator seems quite easy to get hold of from ebay etc. RS do Loctite and own-brand rubber-loaded superglue (which is what I think all the black stuff is) as well as own-brand activator:

Not cheap though. A quick search on ebay threw up other options, e.g.:

Wurth Super Glue, Activator 50g 20g Strong Hold Fast Setting, Cyanoacrylate | eBay (activator is an option; the superglue on this listing isn't rubber toughened)

Just small touch up work on resin. I can do it with resin, but it takes an age to go off.

This sort of stuff -

I've just discovered GluBoost CA's and activator. It's not like ordinary activator in that it doesn't froth up so is great for finish repairs. They also do a range of dyes which work well with their CA glue. Expensive but worth it for what I need. I get mine from ToneTech, here's the link: GluBoost

We use Gluboost superglues and activator at work for instruments, I didn't realise the glues were £20 a bottle although we probably get them without VAT. I prefer to use ebony dust with the clear glue as I feel there's more structural strength.

crimson guitars are a stockist of starbond. it's shippable to because it isn't in a pressurised container.

Manor Wood on youtube has just put out some videos on how to carry out repairs to resin tops.
It's not something I am involved in but he seems to do some high end stuff but be aware everything he does seems to come at a high end price.

Agreed, but I use them for finish repairs only
