To my super surprise, today for my Birthday my better half got me a LN no 4 1/2 Iron. Its so pretty!

Its lovely, never seen one in the flesh before now, its so beautiful.

Unfortunately this one will be returned to Axy as it has a dent in the top of the rear handle. The blade was also poorly sharpened on one side out of the box which was a shame. But still means I get the pleasure of unwrapping it again!

Its an average birthday, this ones just been a very good one this year around!

I don't turn 25 for another two-weeks, but even that sounds too close to 30 for my liking... :?

Haven't fully got to grips with it yet today, only played with it for a half an hour but its really good and there is a massive difference between it and my old Record No4 which is actually also very good.

You can't beat Axminster, gave them a ring this morning and explained about the lateral adjuster having damaged the top of the handle, no messing about with who rang up as I didn't buy it they ordered the courier to come pick it up tomorrow. Such good customer service!

Ooooh very nice, I've got my birthday coming up in a few days but I don't think the LOML has the courage to get me a plane just yet.

THANKS for making me feel old I thought most people were older than me on this forum now I find Im wrong. I will be 40 in November.
