I came across this today. A chap called asking for a new fitted dressing room, I spent a couple of hours going through plans etc and then he showed me around his pad.

He had this recently made by a cabinet maker from Toulouse. I never asked what he paid for it but my guess is around 8-9k sterling.

What do you guys think?

Just thought I'd share...

Very, very nice looks like an expensive job.
Shame it does not line up with the floor slabs, that would drive me nuts!

same comment.
And also, i dontlike the bottom. I think a nice little cabinet would have been nicer than books on the floor.

Hmm - each to their own. I find it quite hideous, made worse by all the clutter stacked upon the shelves.

I admire the skill required to make it, though.

Not to my tastes but each to their own.

I had to install laminate flooring in a fitted kitchen last year. It was that tile effect stuff.
I (and I mean by my choice) had to remove all the plinths and lay it full width of the room under the units by winding up the plastic legs in turn and then setting it back on the laminate after I had slid it underneath.
The clients would have been happy for me to just lay it but I was determined to lay it so that the tiles lined up with the plinths and the internal corners of the run of units and be as close to square with the doorways and walls and not end on a slither of tile so that it would look as close to a proper tiler's job.

It would drive me nuts if I had left it out of line even if I didn't have to live with it.

In my own kitchen I was really careful to get the same laminate right.
A perfect 80% of the way across the floor and the grout lines suddenly stopped lining up. Each laminate was probably only 1/2mm shorter then what I had already laid but over 5m it was showing.
I checked all the batch numbers and everything was correct and the same. But the last few packs were slightly shorter then the first lot and there was nothing I could do as they were all opened and in storage for a few months aclimatising while the kitchen was being plastered.

Yeeeuk! Anything over thirty bob and I'd say he wuz robbed!

Pretty negative then... Not the kind of piece I'd go for either but I'm finding more and more of this type of work popping-up.

 It looks like something a footballer would have in their house if they could read.

I have it on good authority that several top players regularly take the Beano!

I don't like the way that the cornices don't go all the way to the ceiling, a place for dust and spiders to collect.
