Excellent, thanks Old, will have a browse tomorrow.

It's been a long time coming

Cheers, Paul :D

It definitely appears to be easier to navigate this one.

My only gripe so far is that they've used centimetres as the metric unit for bandsaw blade length...!

Better? Not really.

At least you can see what they actuall sell now

Still, it is a crappy website.

Cheers

Seems mostly OK to me. Sure it would be nice to have pics on the second and third levels etc but it's not the end of the world. It's functional as best I can tell without actually making a purchase.

I can't see that they're selling anything different to anybody else...or cheaper. Pretty basic site though - Rob

I didn't even know they had a website!! Last I knew they sent out a brochure in CD form. So it's certainly an improvement to that!!!!

For his kind of shopping you've got to look to someone like Axminster as a template I'd have thought.

Axminster's site is ok but their search system is still quite terrible.

When you look at Matthew's site over at Workshop Heaven. He's using (I assume) an open source shopping cart (i.e free) and his site works and looks 100 times (being kind here) better than Tilgear's current abomination. I'd love to know how many houses the guy who's selling them their IT 'solutions' has got.

tis tempting to get in touch and offer to do them a better one, cheaper - that said its possible tha no one is selling them IT solutions and they are just doing it themselves.

Probably the case Pete. The owner or owners probably think they are saving money by trying to re-invent the wheel. I bet I could have not only saved them money but improved sales by making them a website 6yrs ago. Oh well. Perhaps they don't like success? ;)
