Not axes for chopping wood. Three mutually perpendicular pieces, each around 50mm square.
I need to make a frame so need a joint for the corners and also for two pieces meet mid-way along a third.
I'm assuming M&T about 16mm wide and the same deep?

You could make the tenons beveled so the outside edge is 32 mm long giving greater gluing area.

Don't know if that is acceptable woodworking???
