Hi fellas.

I'm looking for a bench saw, preferably one that is easy to store as my workshop is very small. I really dont want to pay anymore than £200,
Any help appreciated.

Excellent forum btw... :)

This doesn't seem bad for £150 though I am probably biased as I just got a great deal on a SIP 18v battery saw for £30 which I am chuffed to bits with from the same company, Toolsave.co.uk.

Just a suggestion for what it's worth.

If you are going to move the saw around the workshop often, I would suggest that the Rexon may be the better of the two.
The Charnwood uses similar aluminium box sections as Scheppach used to for the top. If you are not careful moving it around, and use the top to lift it (even just off the floor to get at something underneath) the top can distort - thats what happened to my Scheppach and it has been a nightmare to try and resolve the distortion.

i can vouch for the Rexon...

Had one for about a year now...cuts true...not bad locking fence..

Table top exstensions make the top much more useful for larger pieces and boards.

Leave the legs off and easy to carry round to different locations...legs on and nice height for use but a pain to drop down and move for storage...

All in all for the money...good saw..

Ps
Change the blade though...a bit spent on a good replacement is well worth it..

Sorry I didnt reply earlier... been crazy at work

Been to Screwfix and bought the Rexon.... looks good so far... :)
