I have a Titan SF16N-9 110mm Pillar Drill 230V on order. What is the likelyhood the drill can swivel on the base plate allowing a long section of wood to be placed vertically under the drill. Do most bench drills do this I cant seem to find the info?

Thanks in advance,

That drill looks similar to my Clarke. On mine the drill head is secured to the pillar by two grub screws. If you loosen those screws you can swivel the head to either side. Hope that helps.

Looks like the pillar has three hex head bolts holding it into the base. Whether it is capable of swivelling, I don't know. It might be keyed.
I think that generally drilling longer things means getting a longer pillar ... though I might be wrong.

Thanks for the repilies guys. The head rotates so not a prob. The drill however is nowhere near accurate enough so will be returning and getting somthing a bit better.
