Would anyone be able to advise me of a cheap alternative for a drive belt for the above bandsaw Please?

The named belt for this machine costs approx £18.00 but I'm pretty certain that there are cheaper but equivalent ones out there?

Unfortunately my belt has disintegrated so I am unable to state exactly what size and length the required belt is. Would anyone be able to provide me with this info as well please?

Many Thanks

I have the 316 model and the belt for that (which might be the same as for your model) is marked :-

PIX 'X' power 5PJ 864-HS.

If you do a search using this part number it may confirm if it is for both models and also where you can source it from and at what price.

I have the 315 the official part is a Poly V belt 4 PJ610

Just measured an old one it is 24 ¼ inch probably 24 when new. Pitch of the “V” is abt 092” with 4 "V"s total width about 3/8 inch

This should do £4.30 + £2.50 del

If you have a bearing stockist near you they may be able to help

Many Thanks Hemsby. This what I was hoping for with it being a lot cheaper than what many are asking for!

Will ring them in the morning.

Hi again
I just measured it there
Its a Goodyear belt with 3 groves in it .
Its 62cm plus the bit of stretch from use and its 10mm wide .
There's apparently two speeds on this machine
My one is set up with the belt installed on the large pulley on the drivewheel ,and on the smaller pulley
its on the smaller setting
There's a code on it but it's probably not important ....
674 1320 4033 131
I can't say if its slow going or not with this setting ,as there's an old blade on it ..
And Ive never used a saw this small before so even when I get a new blade I would not be sure .
Hope you find one cheap and easy
Good luck

Might be of interest.

The 315 has
2 speeds 370 & 800 m/Min
Blade length 2240mm
Blade width 6-15mm

Does that mean it needs two belts ....
Or is there enough adjust-ability with the pulley ?
It looks like my belt is too small for the faster setting .
I'm guessing with the faster setting the belt is on both large pulleys ?
Thanks

No just One belt

Fastest speed is Large motor pulley to smaller pulley on blade pulley (Belt will be running closest to the rear of the case)
