Beginner in Berkshire

Hi there,

Just wanted to introuce myself. I'm looking to start working with a Lathe (mostly just Bowls and the like) and am prett new to turning. I have experience with manual lathes, and that was great fun, so looking to invest in something that I could use to maybe get good enough to sell products, or at the very least give away at Christmas/Birthdays

I was wondering if there is anyone from the Berkshire area that knows of any groups or clubs nearby?

Try googling "Berkshire lathe clubs" or similar .... I'm sure that will give you somewhere to start.

Hi welcome , there are quite a few members from your area on the forums so you should get a good response when the festive mussiness has cleared .

Berkshire Woodturning Association meets at TradeMark Windows in Wokingham. Next meeting is on the 16th Jan at 7:00pm with a club turner giving a demonstration. Introduce your self to the man on the door and you will be welcome.

I actually found the Berkshire group online (with searching) but wasn;t sure they were still active as the site was down. I guess I need to get the 16th off work! (I do nights).
