Morning all.

I am about 2 months in working for my self as a full time cabinet maker, running a workshop etc..

Its been what I have always wanted to do. So far I am having the time of my life, although exhausted!

Anyways I thought I would share a recent job with you.

I had to make 2 sections to match an existing kitchen in the same style colour. One was a dresser and the other is cabinets surrounding a new American style fridge.

White unsteamed beech finished with a white oil.

The whole album so far....

I hope interesting to somebody :) Enjoy my pictures.

I like it. I think beech is a lovely wood when used in the right way, but sadly neglected these days.

How's the business going? I have to say that I wouldn't like to be starting up in the current climate - thankfully I got the expensive early days out of the way before the economy went **** up!

I wish you good luck and don't hesitate to get in touch if you need any help or advice.

Out of interest, how much did you charge for these pieces?

Cheers
Brad

Thank you for the nice comments

Yes was a big step starting up with the economy as it is, but I got to a point in my employed job where I felt I had no other choice (very long story).

It is nice timber to work with, beech always machines lovely although it can be a touch unpredictable if not dried correctly.

I had a workshop ready to go, something I have been preparing for a few years. So all machinery and tools etc. was something I already had. So I basically finished one day and walked in to my workshop and started the next.

Thank you for the offer of advice, that's always appreciated. As for the price I will PM you later ;)
