Last time I fired a firearm proper, it was a .303 Lee Enfield. Must have been in the 60s. I was a decent shot too, when they let me shoot left-handed, so I could see the target properly.
I don't want to shoot animals either, but we have to control vermin I'm afraid. As for where do I live, I suppose I live in a borderline urban environment.
I don't think I could ever shoot animals for fun, but it isn't against the law at the moment, so I have no quibbles. I think I'd get my kicks shooting clays. Except that isn't really shooting; that's like using a hosepipe to fill a glass.
