Anyone experience of replacing bandsaw tyres? I've just bought a Record RSBS14 which needs a drive belt and tyres. I've ordered the belt already. £75 seemed to good to miss.
This is the method I use and works a treat, even on small saws with 8 inch wheels. I use zip ties rather than string though.
Isopropyl alcohol, but don't drink it.I have the RSBS14 so will be watching this thread, my tires are in good condition (I think) but are gummed up a little from all the green wood I've cut over the last few months, what would you guys clean them with? I'm worried using meths or similar could damage them.
I have a 5ltr bottle of meths so will give that a goIn my humble opinion, meths and IPA would be equally effective. I tend to have IPA on hand, but I expect meths is cheaper.

Good price. I probably pay half that much for 500ml.
