Bandsaw tension

Have a basa3 bandsaw,and changed blade to 16mmx.55mm is the tension for that blade the same as smaller type blade? This blade is difficult to position on wheel as it is same width as wheels on bandsaw!

The tension of the blade should be similar between blades of different widths- but a wider blade will take more force to tension it.

M42 blades also typically have a higher operating tension range to typical carbon blades (20-25kpsi vs 15-20 kpsi) but without a gauge you’ll struggle to tell.
