I am new to all this I purchased a record bandsaws 350s and

Record Power 80003 Coronet Cobra Bandsaw Scroll Guide System .

I have been cutting out a apple bandsaw box with a 1/8 14tpi blade the wood is oak 80 mm thick it is leaving a lot of saw blade marks is it that I am using the wrong tip blade.shoud I use a bigger tip or smaller tip ant advise welcome Ty.

Way too many TPI. My only batch of bandsaw boxes I used a 6TPI blade. Those small teeth are likely finding it hard to clear the sawdust from the cut. Bandsaws leave a rough surface, thats just bandsaws being bandsaws so dont expect silky smooth surfaces. In my early bandsaw days I fell for the fine teeth for smooth cuts but fine teeth are only good for thin timber. You have to sand or plane later for smooth surfaces. Well for me at least the 6 TPI worked out.

Bandsaws are a bit of a learning curve and believe me most of what I learned was from making mistakes. Your Cobra scroll guide looks like a good thing to have however. There is still a lot of misinformation out there on bandsaws so I will say have a look at this guys videos and forget a lot of the others.

Anyhow keep at it, cut stuff up, make more boxes and enjoy it.

Thick work piece on a small bandsaw is hard going. The experts say you should have around 3-5 teeth max in the work or the blade cant clear the sawdust.
14tpi and 80mm is more like 50 teeth in the work. However, for bandsaw boxes you dont have much choice as a coarse blade will be too wide for the curves.
