Bandsaw Blades

Apologies for asking a question which probably prompts the obvious thought of “well it depends what you do most often” but …

Which bandsaw blade (width and tpi) do you find most useful for “general” use?

I've currently got one of the Tuff Saws super tuff vari tooth 3/4 tpi blades on my bandsaw, 3/4" width and was recommended by Ian at Tuff Saws for general use.

I wont ask what you want to do but I will ask what size is your saw. Reason being is blade tension. My 14'' saw will not quite tension a 3/4'' blade although the specs say it will. My most used general purpose blade is a 3 tpi 1/2''. Does over 90% of what I need.

Thanks for the responses.

The question came up in my mind as I found the original blade that came with my Laguna 14BX which is 8tpi (and I have never used). I've always used exactly the same as Phil as my "default" which is left on the machine and it just made me wonder about it.
