Here's an alternative solution. Get an M42 or Bi-metal bandsaw blade. They are certainly not cheap, but they stay sharp for such an unbelievably long time that they well may work out cheaper over the long term.

I fitted an aftermarket fence onto a bandsaw which slowed down the blade changeover process. It tipped me over into trying a Tuffsaws M42 blade, I wish I'd tried it earlier because now a blade, in a commercial environment where it's used every day and often on tough projects like saw cut Rosewood veneers, easily lasts six months. For typical hobbyist use an M42 blade might even outlast the bandsaw!

Just a thought.

I have considered that type of blade, and I am sure it would last a lot longer for most people, however I cut a lot of bog oak and that ruins every kind of blade pretty quickly, I have tried expensive blades and I have tried cheap blades, the good blades certainly outlast the cheap blades, but not by enough to warrant the cost by any stretch. The only solution I have found is to buy a good value blade (I like the axminster blades, they are not great but they are good value) and change it when needed.

Oh and my problem was not so much switching out dull blades, rather changing to different size/type for my needs at the time.
