Balance veneer

Hi All,

A quick question, if I may?

I'm fully aware that one should adhere a backing/balance veneer to a panel when gluing to the substrate , but I am unsure about the following:
I am making something that requires two leaves/layers of veneer on the face side & am unsure whether I need two layers of balance veneer on the other side, or will a single leaf/sheet do the job?
My thoughts are that I will need 2 layers, but thought I would ask the question.

I would go with two each side to keep it balanced.

Getting into the realms of counter-veneer and counter-balance.Which are probably more relevant to solid timber substrates than to man made boards.
