Very interesting link. Just checked out their prices for a veritas LA Jack and a Med Shoulder Plane and they were cheaper than Axminster. That doesn't happen too often (unless Tilgear are doing a LN clearance!!!).

One thing however, they were only a penny cheaper. For both planes. Which is further evidence that Axminster are the industry beanchmark.

In my opinion Fine Tools Germany has the lowest prices on all types of Veritas planes in Europe.
Shipping to the UK starts from 9 euros (7,4 pounds).

Take the no.4 for instance:
Axminster 242 pounds
Ask Tools 242 pounds
Fine Tools 180 pounds, thats 25% less (excl. shipping)

I would know where to buy the Veritas planes from.

+ 20% VAT + duty = not so cheap.

I purchased something from Wacom Europe last month (£35) It was posted from Germany, it had German vat but no charges imposed here in UK.

when you do buy from EU countries there is NO VAT and NO tax to be payed
so you only have to add the shipping costs at 9 euros
