Like its owner, my faithfully axi is showing its age and being close to retirement, I thought it was timely to seek a replacement - but what with? There is a kity 619 locally for around £550, but I have also read on this site Itech and similar 250mm saws. My space is limited, with the current axi taking up a foot print of 30"X40 which is ideal for the space available. I have tried to find test reviews with Record/Charnwood etc, but wondered if any one had found links to any reviews or indeed if they have been in a similar position and being delighted with the Kity or Itech, Record etc my limit is really around £1000 tops . Grateful for any advice, Many thanks!

I would look at a Startrite DS275 or 175. Extremely capable saws, favoured I understand by Architecture modellers. Alternatively a Sedgwick 315. Eg.

Many thanks Deema, they look great saws, but I don't currently have 3phase to my shed, and understand that this can be costly - but may be wrong? Thanks again
