Strangely enough, I was in the Warrington store yesterday trying some out and this was the plane I liked the most, more than the LN ones. The trouble is, it's Harrogate tomorrow and £200 is my budget for there, which leaves me with a quandary. well, I've got til 5 to make my mind up... #-o

The black friday deals had nothing for me unfortunately but Axi are doing a 15% off drill presses. I got excited as I have been after the radial floor standing for a while only to find its excluded from the 15% off Ill put my debit card away.

Its still the same price and now listed under their Special Offers section - I noticed its £248 at Chronos Engineering.

I was thinking of importing one with the PMII blade fitted. At that (AX) price I still gave it a swerve. £175-180 and they may have had me...

I have been waiting to pull the trigger on a Veritas dovetail saw for some time, and lo and behold if wasn't there for £39. Couldn't resist at that price. In addition, my order was packed and in the post within an hour of sending it in! I might even get it tomorrow!

Fromey, I thought about that as well, but I think I'm going to go for one of the Japanese dovetail saws as I love the other one I've got (without the stiffening along the back). Very, very nice cut and easy to use. I'll be interested to know how you find it to use when it arrives.

Hats off to Axminster. They dispatched my order about 1 hour after I sent it and the items then arrived today at 10. Less than 20 hours. What a world we live in!
