didn't Craft Supplies originate in that neck of the woods. Millers Dale if I remember correctly

It did, although its moved from the shop in Millers Dale to an industrial unit in Bradwell. I definitely don't think thats anything to do with Rutlands/Tabwell/Uppertown/Toolbay...

Just to clarify...

There is no connection between Craft Supplies and Tabwell Tools other than both dealing in the same sort of materials.

Rutlands was started by (and is still run by) the same guy who owned/ran/controlled Tabwell Tools.
Stretching my memory back further I seem to also think he was involved in Record Power but I wouldn't swear to it.

Not exactly on my doorstep, but its getting nearer!

According to Google Maps, Nuneaton is a whole 2 minutes closer to me than Axminster, Devon 1:44 rather than 1:46 ;(

Part of me is glad that they are so far away. We stopped in at Axminster in Devon on the way to see some friends. We just stopped in to see what the place was like and I needed a break after the traffic jams...

... 3 hours and several hundred pounds poorer I was on the phone to our friends to explain that we were still on our way we had just made a little detour

Just to say that this is still not quite correct.

Tabwell was owned when it closed by a company who had bought it from the original owners. Entirely unconnected to the original owners.

I occasionally pop into the Axminster in High Wycombe, the word I would use to describe it is "vacuous", the Nuneaton branch is 10 miles from my parentals, I hope it's a bit more lively than the last one they opened
