Axminster Harvey bandsaw

Hi does anyone own this saw, for the life of me I can't tighten the lower thrust bearing with the knurled knob enough to stop the bearing being forced back during use. Any advice appreciated

If the rear bearing is being forced back, it could be the blade is blunt - might be worth checking?

Thanks Greg but its a new blade. I just can't get in to tighten it enough
