Just in case anyone is interested, I've just added an auxilliary fence with a flip stop to my Festool Kapex KS60. I don't have room and didn't want to pay the exhorbitant price for a Festool extension table.
I got the idea from a Youtube video where he made an extension fence for his table saw: Start Making(Woodworking)
I was doing a project which needed lots of repeat compound angle cuts and the frigged auxilliary fence I made was a bit of a fiddle. In frustration I did a search. I'm really pleased with the result. The aluminium section, end caps and knobs all came from Ooznest.co.uk. I used 20 x 60 extrusion, as this size allows the motor to slide over the top. I had to tap holes in the back and used M6 knobs. Although it worked fine, I decided to add some spacers as you can see in the second picture (just behind the small black knob) to make it easier to remove when necessary. The end caps are held in with M5 stainless screws also from Ooznest. I tapped my own holes, but Ooznest will do this for you for a small fee.
The flip stop came from https://woodworkersworkshop.co.uk/auktools-t-track-flip-stop/
I had to slightly modify it to fit. The top of the section is angled in at 45 deg and the sliding boss on bottom of the flip stop is square. Filing the corners to 45 deg allows it fit and slide smoothly. Secondly the T bolt the comes with the flip stop is too wide to fit into the top section. A bit of judicious filing and it now fits and slides smoothly.
A word of warning if intending to do this for a different make of mitre saw; Check the slot/solid part of the section to see where it would fit on the mounting holes on your mitre saw. We tried mine on a friend's Bosch saw and the holes on his were an awkward height. This could be overcome by fitting a spacing strip on the underside of the section. Ooznest show clear dimensions, so you should be able to avoid any problems.
