Ho Ho Ho, my patriot chuck has arrived in time for the wife to wrap it up, cant wait now.
I have a woodturning friend who makes earing holders, he is helping me to make them in the new year, so i'll post when i've done one.
Merry Christmas folks...

The only challenge is whether you can actually wait until the New Year Steve. That's over 7 days ahead

Happy Christmas

Pete

Hi Steve
Just noticed your post and wondered what you thought about the Patriot?
I`ve just posted on the forum asking about chucks and didn`t think about the Patriot for me new lathe and it seems to be available in the size I want (M33 x 3.5 thread) not sure how the Patriot differs from the Supernova which I presently have?
Regards
Steve

Hi steve
its still in the box as yet, but its a good looking thing. I really dont know what the difference would be, others may contribute here though.
Its not as massive as i thought it would be(glad to say) but hopefully i am getting some help to turn earing stands, so i will post anything i get up to.
As an aside, it was the wife that made me buy the sorby, i wanted the supernova, but she said i will only moan if i dont get it(bless her)
