assembly mallet

I am going to make a dead blow hammer for assembling items. what faces would the forum recommend? I was going to have one from a white non-marking rubber, but any suggestions for the second?

The experts seem to favour nylon...

I've got an old THOR mallet with copper and rawhide.
But the rawhide dries out in between uses and now I dont work on machines any more the copper never gets used. I might one day go for a nylon version.

I am saving the gold tops from Robinsons fruit and barley squash to make a good mallet.
Thor rubber and nylon mallets are good.
