Paper overalls scrounged from work. About ten sizes too big for me as i am only slight. Still manage to get woodshavings down the inside of my shirt. Anyone come up with a good idea to stop shavings sticking to your socks? Don't say don't wear any as this just tickles the feet. :) SWMBO is getting fed up with me bringing half of the workshop up on my feet.

I too use to have the same problem leaving foot prints on the dark blue carpet.

SOLUTION;

Bought a new fawn carpet still walk sawdust in but you can't notice it anymore

No Apron for me ...... I just use old jeans

I get away with the saw dust in the house up to a point

I've conditioned SWMBO to the mess ..... as I'm always doing DIY etc and she normally helps out

At £3 a pair for tesco jeans I cant be bothered with aprons, used to wear them but come on guys "an apron" we're in the 21st century, wheres your sense of style, whats next, hairnets.

Possible ideas for the next thread "how do you wear your flat cap" or "how high do you wear your trousers" :D :D :D

Oh come on, if you don't wear an apron where do you tuck your tie? or do you let it all hang out?

Are Axminster the only people who sell the apron with the crossover straps.
Wish there was somewhere else - I'm a bit fed up with advertising Axminster across my person...

Old jeans, sweat shirt and T shirts for me, 'specially the T shirts cos that's what I wipe off the glue on when I do a glue up (I use a shaped spatula to remove most of it and then this gets wiped on the T shirt). I have a good collection of them now which are getting progressively more disgusting  as the glue doesn't come off in the wash, so when they get tooooo bad I'll have to go down the market in town and buy some more (3 cotton T shirts for a fiver last time I bought some) - Rob

I thought you were going to say "and try to sell them"
I'm the same, t shirt not bothered about glue mess, wipe blades on them as well (i wear jeans and that as well german flecktarn trousers superb  ) one of then chinease padded shirts when its nippy. Shavings etc just brush off easy off of cotton, not fleeces though   like velcro. I sometimes use a tool belt for certain jobs. Thinking about getting a leather apron for when I'm on the shaving horse as you get bits trying to get into the front of your trousers being sat down as it were

Nebie Neil

The flat cap or "Dai" cap should be worn so that it protects the eyes from the sunlight. Please note that it is possible for the sun to catch you unawares if you do not wear your cap at all times.

Dont tell the englanders that or Andy Robinson's boys will want to wear them

BTW That was a try by Jamie Noon.

Please note my comments were made in jest, surely we're not going to debate the merits of the flat cap

Oh, by the way Neil, 8" above the ground is so last year!!!
