..apple account...Help!

Not used my apple account for quite a while, now my original email is defunct!
I now can't access my account nor download apps!
It keeps asking for my original password and it doesn't work!
What to do?

Alternatively you could perhaps just register a new ID with the new email address?

I have a new ID with the new email address...but frustratingly cant get rid of the 'blueyonder' address on my Ipad!!...until that goes I cant get online to register the new details.

can you add your new address then once added set that one as default and then delete/ remove the old one?

I'm afraid that if its an apple device ( i phone pad pod mac ) and you loose your password then the device is a brick
you must get the original password for the account that the device has on it first to delete that account then install a new one
you can go through the motions on the apple site to recover your password.
NEVER buy a secondhand apple device without ensuring that its clean of old accounts

Go to settings, iTunes and App Store, and sign out, the sign in, but with your new iTunes ID.

I've forgotten my password several times before for my Apple account and have been able to reset it.

I think you're confusing account and device password?

Phone them up. Their phone support is really good and they will sort most things for you.
