Gents,

Bit cheeky perhaps, but I was just wondering if anyone local to Leeds, Wakefield or Pontefract had an ETS 125 that they might let me have a go with or demo for me? I need a finish sander and the bare kit version of the ETS seems like a no brainer seeing as though I already have the Rotex 125. Trouble is, there are so many mixed reviews and I can't seem to get a clear picture of whether the ETS is good or not. It's just been replaced by a brushless version, but it's twice the price, which is hard to swallow.

I think I've seen more complaints on the ETS 125 than any other product they make. So I'd really like to try one out or at least have someone show me how well it works to see if it's suitable. I tried at Axminster but they didn't have any available for demo  .

It does have to be the ETS 125 rather than the 150, because the negativity seems to be focused on the 125 only.

I'd really appreciate it.

Speak to your local rep and get a demo at your place.

I think the Carvex is the most complained about tool they make, followed by the Kapex in NA, could be wrong. I've got a 150 ETC EC and love it.

Forgot about the carvex! Have they not sorted it out yet?

Festool have a 15 day return policy, so if you're not happy you can send it back.

If we had a local dealer I'd do that, but I just thought I might as well ask to save the £15 postage and messing about. :)

If you ring festool uk, they should be able to arrange a rep to visit you for a demo, they will come to you and do a complete demo and you'll be able to use the machine in your workshop, it's ok looking at machines at a tool shop but I like to actuall use it first,
I've purchased the ETS EC 150 this year and very highly recommend it
