Just a long shot but if anyone one here is planning such a trip I have a pass which would save them money.
It would have to be independant visits as coach trips or flights to the parks usually include the entry fee.

I bought a National Parks and Federal Recreation Sites pass for $80 and it saved me about $40 in entry fees which range from $10 - 25 a go. It will admit 1 vehicle and occupants or pass holder and 3 adults and expires end Sept 2013.

It has the option of adding a second pass holder in place of me which is why it is of use. All you do is sign it and show with ID each time and will gain entry to almost all US national parks. The only one we needed to pay for was Monument Valley which is private Indian land.

I don't want to throw it away so if of use to anyone just let me know and it's yours foc.

Bob

if no one bites, I might put it on the bay.

Hi Bob

We were planning such a trip for September just gone (I think we may have talked about it) but it's now been put off until maybe next Easter.

If you have the ticket spare I would gladly have it, and of course send you something in return.

Thanks for the kind offer!

It's yours Mark and I definately don't want anything for it. As I said it's already saved me about $40. If you pm me your address, I'll post it off. Remember that you'll need to sign it and they will ask for photo ID (e.g.driving licence or passport) at every entry. The parks are generally well organised and you'll get a map and info from them as well.
Talk to me before you go and I'll give you info on the ones we visited if part of your plans.

Bob
