This is my pneumatic hand-held drum sander (it fits in a drill).

I bought it 20 or 30 years ago, and it needs some attention, but I have no idea of the manufacturer. Any help greatly appreciated.

As EtV says, Carroll drums are no longer made. However, Axminster stock something similar

or, alternatively

However, neither type are pneumatic. From what I remember from years ago, with pneumatic drums you could adjust the “hardness” of the drum by either pumping them up a bit more or letting out some pressure. Is it essential for your purposes that the drums be pneumatic or would one of the Axminster drums be sufficient?

Confused at this end: What is "pneumatic " about this sander Mike?

It's full of air. You pump it up when you use it, and can adjust the hardness my adding or releasing air using a bike pump and a valve in the end of the handle.

Ideally I would just have the existing drum repaired. The canvas around the rubber cylinder has split. The really useful thing about it is that it is mobile. You take it to the work, rather than bringing the work to a machine. I have one or two drums I use in my pillar drill, but this thing I can use at the bench, on saw horses outside, or in the house.
