Been doing some marble house numbers, plaques, and its going swimmingly (laser engraving).
Granite, however, is a bit tricky...in a sense that i cannot get it bright enough.
Marble engraves very white and stays white in the wet (rain), granite engraving is much duller and just plain disappears in water if not treated somehow.
I've seen people brightening them with acrylic water based paints, but its for outside and needs to be water resistant, acrylic isn't.
So here's my question - what kind of paint/sealant to use that i can brighten photo and flat engraving in granite ?
Left - granite, right - marble. Pardon the brown'ness - rubbish kitchen lighting. Both pieces are black (with white veins in case of marble).
Pic: Just to show detail ir marble, cannot get even close in granite, blows out relatively big chunks even at smallest power i can apply.
