Wow, I didn't expect such a response. Thanks to all contributors.

My P/T usage is quite small, and it is a Scheppach HMS260 twin cutter model.

My initial thoughts was the Axminster NVD750, but how does this stack up with my potential usage? Would this unit be man enough to power a 'plumbed in' extraction system with a couple of outlets?

Richard

It really depends how much you use the P/T it will not take many minutes to fill 35 litre from a P/T. If it is occasional use that might be OK.

Thanks for the link to the Yorkleen site, have not been aware of this company before, but I can see that the WV100 is exactly the original vac extractor I bought as an Axminster product all those years ago.

My P/T activity is going to be quite small in future but would the wall mounted http://www.axminster.co.uk/numatic-wmd7 ... tor-501299 be a good compromise?

Richard

I dunno, a big and powerful extractor then with a reduction to a say 50mm hose and that should be serviceable as a shop vac. There will be low volume high pressure then it will drop off drastically as the hose expands and might stop in the hose. But one could have another inlet to provide more air for that. It can be done is what I'm saying.

According to Numatic the maximum airflow from on of their twin flow 1200watt double motors (2400watts) is about 380M3/hr on a 63mm hose, so even less flow with a 100mm inlet, have a look at the spec of your machines and see what flow is recommended, guarantee its more than 380M3/hr.

Hard to say for sure Rich

All I can tell you is the WV2000 works on 310mm Felder P/T. It maybe that the hood on it is better than some hence me having no problems when others found their extractors clogged. A 260mm P/T with a weaker extractor could well be problematic. On the other hand Numatic kit is well made and it has 2x 1200 watt motors exactly the same as WP2000 so it could come down to how the tests for litres per min is done.

To put this into perspective the Axminster chip extractor: http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-ho ... eal-717658 does not have any problem extracting anything from any of my machines, but the Numatic does, if you want chip extraction the extractor link above is excellent the Numatic is a compromise and does not do a good job on a PT and this is about the same as the WV2000, I am not trying to start an argument, just don't want someone to buy something they later regret and does not work as well with a PT.
