Likewise, mine are consistantly within 1mm of 355mm (14" = 355.6 if I've done my maths right).

i think the one i just got from roy is longer than that - but i havent measured it - its defintely a record 5 tho as its cast into it. I havent compared them side by side yet as the ones i got from roy are still in the car so its possible its just me

for reference purposes how long should a 6 and 7 be - as the "no.7" i found in a junk shop yesterday is completely free of both makers marks and numbers - so its possible that its a 6, i assumed its a seven tho as it sems pretty damn long to me

yep i think you are right - i've just got to sort out whats needed then i'll be ordering some clifton irons for the ones i got from roy and some japanese laminated blades from axminster for the others (where the fat cliftons dont fit)

06/#6 should be 18"
07/#7 should be 22"

Just a thought, an 05½ is longer than an 05 (15") - could it be the half? The 5½ size is a good one.
