Angle grinder..which size discs?

Confused about the different sizs discs ie. 5" and 115mm.

Can both sizes be used in the same grinder?

If the blade fits inside the blade guard then it is safe to use.

As sunnybob says. If you're buying metal cutting discs, I'm trying out a diamond disc for metal at the moment and it's been good so far but only had a little use.

You can uses a 115mm (4.5") on a 5" as it fits inside the guard.

But a 5" will not fit a 115mm, with out removing the guard.
That way leads to madness.

I uses 4.5 grinders as they are the most common size local to be.
