I am looking at getting amtico laid in our new kitchen/Family Room
It is an old house with Suspended timber T &g floor!
75% of the floor is level then another section is not level it runs away to the centre any suggestions on installing and level this floor.
Does anyone know a good installer in the North East we have amtico!

Get a qualified installer to carry the risk.

We had ours done17 years ago, the fitter insisted doing the screed to guarantee it was flat. It ended up not being flat and we got a considerable refund - however it made no difference to the floor and still looks as good now as when first fitted.

AS Mrs C, get a qualified installer. It will probably mean plywood glued and screwed to the T&G, followed by spot self levelling solution. A impact adhesive would then be the norm for gluing down the Amtico, but in areas of flooring subjected to large sun exposure a different adhesive will be required.

. . . ditto re the approved installer .... but look at Karndean products . . . pretty much the same as Amtico and in my experience just as good, but less costly.
