Although these hinges look the part there isn't a lot of surface to glue and unfortunately one has come away already, I think that I will put some brass screws in to secure them better.

Its a learning process mate

The customer is going to get these at a knockdown price as he will introduce my work to his shooting club, mind you his fellow marksmen will have to pay around £75 :wink:

Martin - I think that's always a useful strategy as it will get your work known amongst a specialist group of people and once other like minded shooters see the boxes it'll be:

I think that when the orders come in there may well be some 'negotiation' :wink: on the price...IMO it's important that you stick to the price and don't get beaten down - Rob

Very attractive boxes Martin.

Being a bit of a worrier if the cartridge detonator area of each bullet rests or touches the underside of the lid and there is any protrusion could it fire a cartridge?

Thinking along the lines of a latex type lining below lid face.

A further ploy that might help sales is to say you only do them in batches of say 10 for that price. Should help with your time and encourage prospective purchasers to entice others to order one to speed their own along.

In practice you can decide privately the order threshold at which start making some according to how the rate of new orders is progressing.

Stunning boxes and detail, Martin. You have amazing skill and patience to work to such tolerances in wood. It took me a while to find the "mishap" even after you mentioned it!
