Hi all,

note that Aldi have a multi sharpener for £15 coming up. Is it worth buying? (I struggle sharpening chisels as I am not very competent)

I was sceptical about cheapo tools, but their band saw for £80 has been one of my best ever tool purchases...

thanks for any replies

I tried the Lidl version and that was rubbish. Aldi one looks similar.

The Aldi bandsaw is excellent for the price.

They sometimes have a wet wheel in and ive often later seen it at knock down prices in store. Its around £30, hold out for one of those then make yourself up a jig.. You will get consistently razor sharp chisels with that and a leather strop

If you do any TIG welding it's worth keeping one of these just for sharpening your tungstens, especially if it comes with a silicon carbide (green) wheel.
