What would be the smallest air compressor I may need for blasting intarsia woodwork and possible using a small nail gun. Not too large and electric powered.

The one posted by Niimus is the same (generic) model I bought from Argos. It'll run a nail-gun all day with no problems.

However, it WILL NOT run a ROS, as I have since discovered.

But for blasting dust out of your crevices, it's perfect.

That reminds me, you'll ALWAYS forget to turn it off ... (heads to the garage after the usual, ''your thing's on in the garage'', comment).

Me too, noisy things aren't they! :)

Hi Malcolm,
I have the Axminster 24 litre one. The next model up from the 10 litre one. I got mine for £99 I think when Axi had a special offer on about 3 years ago. I think if you can wait, they come up on Aldi and Lidl occasionally, same model just different brand name and about the £70 - £80 price mark.

I was up at stupid-o-clock, left the damn compressor on AGAIN.

I am not sure why I started doing this but when I leave the shop/shed for the day EVERYTHING gets unplugged. It feels a bit odd because I do not do it with the house but I am going to carry on doing it.

I only use my 2hp 25L compressor when absolutely necessary as it's very noisy. Luckily my Nilfisk wet & dry vac has a blow function and is much less noisy so I use that instead when I can.

Thanks guys,

I have had a re-think and initially will see how I manage with a can of compressed air. If I use a lot I will look at compresers again.
