Indeed! Some 20 odd years ago I bought a lump of Thuya Burr from good old Craft Supplies, but never really got round to doing anything with it, basically I could not bring myself to put it to the saw as it was an odd shape and I wanted to make the most of it, so, today I decided I was going to go for it, I cut a good sized lump and mounted it in the lathe, after roughing it out I decided I could get two items from it, the first then is this little Natural Edged Pot.

Well it was certainly worth the wait, something very special about the outcome of one of natures failures and you have done it proud.

Thanks folks! It's very nice to get commended by such skilled artisans!

Tomsk: the colours are a little richer in the photos, the reds a touch darker than the real thing, but the rest is pretty much as is. Thanks for the compliment on the photography too!

As Chas. has said well worth the wait .You have got the very best out of that piece of wood ,
You may never get a piece of wood like this again treasure it .

It is my dearest wish that someone else treasure it by buying it!

Although I do agree it isn't everyday you get a nice piece like that, I am in the recently (yesterday) discovered position of having lost my major source of income as my graphic design job has just gone west, so I am going to be increasingly dependent upon selling my wares.

Got any good tips on how to sell? Currently I am using Ebay.

As has already been said: a lovely piece, well turned and the photo's are also top notch. I'm not an expert on selling but all I would say is that the first to see it in the flesh should buy.

Steve
