Hi everyone, im new on ukw, what a great site! Im seeking advice on spray finishing, currently I either use oils or hand paint. I want to speed up the process by spraying. I have an appollo hvlp and used it once but it didnt work out to well. I'm hoping to build a designated spray area. What are the best lacquers to use? What techniques do i need to know, and thinning??? So many things to know!!!!! Would appreciate any advice, many thanks.

Good idea.
Spray application will give best finishing result. But you need some practice to master it.
In my opinion you better start with an nitrocellulose lacquer, since it is quite easy to be handled.
After you can do the nc lacquer you can do for the the more difficult materials such as Polyurethane, water based and many other finishing materials.
