Hi,
I have a Festool ATB 55E power saw + rail.
I'd like to buy the Eurekazone (www.eurekazone.com) rail with which I loose 16mm depth of cut. I'd like to work on some furniture eg beds/tables in hardwood, so I'm looking for a saw with greater depth of cut.
I haven't done much woodworking so I'm not sure which depth of cut is overkill/what depth of cut I should look for and at which depth of cut it is better to move to a bandsaw.
eg. should I go for a 235mm saw eg Makita 5903R, Hitachi C9BA2, Metabo KS85, Hilti WSC85 or a 270mm saw eg Makita 5103 (I am guessing that saws smaller than these don't have the power to do some serious cutting in hardwood) ?
Anyone know whether the Hitachi is in any way better than the Makita
(not sure whether the Metabo and Hilti are worth it - can buy two Makitas or HItachis for same price) ?
