Advice on buying an emergency generator

Welcome cosaren. You may not have noticed that this is a British forum. The members are always generous with help, generator brand recommendations are going to be difficult because of what is sold in the two markets. Comparisons to hand tools, many power tools, etc are easier and you'll get lots of help. I have no experience with them so I can'y offer anything useful either.
