I'm going to buy a cordless drill/driver and I've been looking at these three.

Any advice to which one I should get would be appreciated. It is only going to be used as a third machine for countersinking as I already have a Makita for screwing, and a Bosch for drilling pilot holes.

I just can't pick between the three, I know the Milwaukie has a li on battery and I like Makita, but the De Walt is cheap. :?

Thanks

Phil

What voltage is your current Makita?
If it's a 12V,would be tempted to stick with the same make, and effectively have a spare charger.
If not,I'd go for the DeWalt - cheap (at the moment) and 2.4Ah batteries should keep you going a while.

Wow Phil what a choice? I have the Makita one and am very happy with it, although I should say all of my drill drivers are Makita. I bought a 12v set from Anglia tools that came with the drill driver, 3 batteries, and a free 12v impact driver for £120! I also still have my old 9.6v and a 7.2v Makita drivers which are still going strong after 15 years! I just had to replace the battery on the 9.6v one although the other battery is still going strong at the moment. Not trying to influence you like, I just like Makitas. :D

Just to let you know, filsgreen, the red batts are ni-cad and the black are ni-mh, so yes they are interchangeable. I too would have been tempted to get another makita, or bosch, as you could then either have bought a bare model and saved money, or you could have had spare batts and charger.

I do not do de-walt, so am biased. However my plumber has one that he swears is a good machine, so you should be ok.
