I've been in desperate need of a side table by the sofa for ages, and having quite a few off-cuts of 4x4" treated fence posts I thought I'd have a go at making one.

I've rough sanded everything so most of the posts are blended in:
thing is, I'm going to have to make the wife one too!
I've since took it all apart and glued it while all clamped together, more sanding to come then a coat or two of matt varnish.
I've also started to build a stand for my Pillar Drill, I'm going to have to re-watch that chisel sharpening Vid to get the finer points in my head.
