A Curly Maple bed with Metal Inlays

We delivered a challenging project today that we have been working on for the past 6 weeks ... It tested quite a few of our skills: turning, pretty serious carving, inlay work, metal work, design .... overall an extremely challenging and rewarding project ... I'll post a few photos here, but there are many more (and bigger photos), as well as detailed descriptions of the turning, carving and metal inlaying process on our dorset custom furniture blog at the link below. On this project, we worked with a metal fabrication company who cut our inlay pieces with their waterjet. Nothing wrong with a bit of symbiosis, we get to see some cool large scale woodworking and they get a bit of advertisement.

Very nice work Dan

Can't say I'm too taken with the leg/corner post style, obviously very skillfully made but not my personal taste, but I like the metalwork very much.
