Hi.
Thought I'd show the class a couple of things I'd made recently from some reclaimed pallets.
First one's a 10x8, Oak wedding photo frame made commissioned by some friends of mine.
My scrollsaw was used to cut the lettering and hearts. The wood was planned using my new MacAllister (B&Q) thicknesser. Finish was 3 coats of Danish Oil and clear wax over the top.
Next is a house name plate made for my Granddad's birthday. The framing for this was from the offcuts of Oak left over after making the wedding frame. The letters are from some pinkish, heavy wood reclaimed from pallets again. I want to say it's Iroko but I'm not sure.
Finish was 3 coats of Danish Oil.
The two frames are separate. Just stacked on top of each other to fit into the shot.
Thanks for looking!
