This problem has cropped up a few times in what to buy discussions. The Trend 10/11 version of this router has an adjustable bush holder, so bushes can be made concentric with the bit. This takes the common sized guide bushes, is available for about a fiver as a spare, and will fit the other similar router types, so solving this problem.

With some careful filing, it can be adjusted to fit the 621, so the same bushes can be adjusted to be bit-concentric on this router too.

Those missing the precision of the original ELU router might remember paying about 50% more than today's price ~20 years ago, but, unfortunately, today's low price is not everything....

:? :? Can you explain this a bit more, Ivan? I thought that the adjustable inner plate only fitted the Trend T11 and T10, with its extra-large base aperture. Or maybe I've misunderstood you?

Cheers

My DW625 came with a turned steel bush holder* (takes the American style bushes that are secured by a screw ring). The T10/11 adjustable bush holder (that takes the standard Trend bushes or Ax's precision steel GB's) has the same fixing holes, so it's a direct swap, and I can use my collection of standard 60mm guide bushes in the 625. The Trend adjustable GB holder is about a fiver. I got a centering pin (goes in collet) and matching centering GB (fits tight on the pin) that you need to actually make the adjustment, from a Trend phenolic base plate kit I already had. This will be clearer if you have a Trend catalogue to hand.

Happy to furnish photos tomorrow for bouth routers, but I don't know how to do it/where to host them - pm me with your email address and I'll email them to you.

* looks like the one on the left on Ax page 299 'Adaptors for threaded guide bushes'
