With a TRITON TSPL152 6” planner although there is obviously a limit on the width of the board you can plane, what length of the board can you realistically plane to a good edge ?
The bed is only 770 x 260mm. Can you still get a good edge on boards longer than 1000mm ?

On a light duty machine my guess is the downward pressure on longer boards would probably make the tables sag.

On say a 50 x 25 section you could probably get a decent finish on a 1200 piece, maybe even 1500 but it would be a struggle.

You would be able to flatten a board with a bow - using the technique of turning the board around so nibbling off the bow.

Cupped timber that's straight would be ok.

Cupped and bowed timber is a challenge on any machine.

You would find it almost impossible to plane out twist in any board.

Roller stands are an option by they are painful on a surface planer as every bit of wood will be bowed slightly differently.

I see Yandles have some positive reviews of this machine
