3/16" and 1/8" Band saw blades

I am looking at buying a new machine - Possibly Record 350s or BS500 and want to run 3/16" or even 1/8" blades. I am told niether of these machines will run the blades as the blades do not have enough meat. Does anyone else have experience of these blades or saws? Any recomendations would be welcome. Thanks
